IECEP-UAE holds Oath Taking Ceremony and seminars on Career Advancement

The Institute of Electronics and Communications Engineers of the Philippines in the UAE held their oath taking ceremony for their latest passers for the Professional Electronics and Communication Engineers (PECE) as well as those who passed the ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineers (ACPE) at Swissotel in Dubai.

Engr. Herminio Orbe, PECE, member of the Board of Electronics Engineering, who’s also the Chairman of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Engineers and a member of the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC) said that there are now around 60,000 members across the world since the association was formed back in 1950 in the Philippines. “We encourage our engineers to upgrade their skills and knowledge which is the reason why the CPD was put into law – to institutionalize the continuous professional development of the individual engineers,” said Orbe.

IECEP – UAE Chapter, under the umbrella organizations of Abu Dhabi Bayanihan Council and Philippine Embassy, is an affiliated Foreign Chapter of IECEP Inc. in the Philippines since September 2008. The organization was originally the Filipino Electronics and Communications Engineers Association (FECEA – UAE) founded on July 2008 by Engr. Jethroefel Ramboyong, PECE, ASEAN Engr, ACPE.

Engr. Racquel R. Aquino-Bay, PECE is amongst the ranks of engineers who did the oath taking ceremony this year highlights the benefits of being a member: “As part of IECEP UAE’s mission, the organization has undertaken different projects relating to competency, proficiency, leadership and communication by conducting seminars, trainings and workshops to its members.”
