About Us

IECEP UAE was founded in July 24, 2008 and was originally named as Filipino Electronics and Communications Engineers Association (FECEA – UAE). A group of 14 Electronics Engineers headed by Engr. Jethroefel E. Ramboyong gathered themselves together and formed the Association. In August of the same year, it was recognized by the Philippine Embassy in UAE as one of its duly registered Filipino Organizations. And on Sept 2008, it was affiliated as a Foreign Chapter of IECEP, Inc. bearing the name Institute of Electronics Engineers – UAE Chapter (IECEP UAE).

MEMBERSHIP

IECEP UAE is a vibrant community of Filipino Electronics Professionals and Practitioners across the Emirates working from diverse sectors such as telecommunications, broadcasting, electronics and semiconductors, information and communications technology, control and automation systems, computer and programming, biomedical engineering and other low voltage systems.

CPD

The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a mandatory requirement for the renewal of the PRC ID, We commit to provide CPD accredited trainings & seminars to continually update their skills & knowledge, abreast of current trends & new discoveries to ensure public safety & welfare making them competitive in global integration for mobility of professional services.

SPLE

By virtue of Executive Order 835 series 2009, the yearly conduct of Special Professional Licensure Board Examination has been established for OFWs in the Middle East and IECEP UAE has been providing review sessions and support to all ECE and ECT aspirants, with the aid of volunteer instructors from its active members on their SPLE Review Program making it an advocacy of the chapter.

PECE

IECEP UAE supports the qualified ECEs on their preparation for the Technical Evaluation Upgrade to Professional Electronics Engineer (PECE) which consists the practice of Electronics Engineering plus the sole authority to provide consulting services and to sign and seal plans, drawings, permit, specifications, reports and other technical documents.

CSR

As part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), IECEP UAE is actively engage and visible in the Filipino community to share its professional expertise towards nation building. At the same time it’s been a constant partner of the Philippine Embassy & POLO OWWA on it’s program and activities in the community.

APO

Being the Accredited Professional Organization (APO) by the Professional Regulations Commission with mother chapter IECEP, Inc., IECEP UAE as an affiliated foreign chapter since 2008 presents an avenue in providing guidelines and assistance for professional registrations and upgrades as well as for the gathering of all the practicing electronics engineering professionals, engineers and technicians based in the UAE
