IECEP – UAE Chapter holds 3rd Technical Seminar in Abu Dhabi

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – United Arab Emirates Chapter (IECEP UAE) held its 3rd Technical Seminar on July 6, 2018 in Hotel Novotel Al Bustan, Abu Dhabi, UAE. With 100+ attendees composed of PECE, PEE, ECE, ECT, Associates members and non-members across the Emirates.

Charge d’affaires Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil delivered her keynote message to all attendees and congratulated IECEP UAE for being world class professionals, home of achievers. She thanked IECEP UAE for the continuous support and participation of the chapter to the Filipino community and Bayanihan Council, especially during the 2018 Philippine Independence Day Celebration.

The seminar covered three topics: The first topic was “Access Control System – System Planning and Installation” by Atlas Dynamic Head of Businiess Unit Engr. Christopher Q. Acob, ECE. This was followed by “Organizational Development for Community Leaders” by a multi-awarded Human Resource professional, Ms. Sugar Espadera. And last was “Behind the Scenes of Dynamic Lighting: DMX/RDM Overview” by Martin Professional ME Senior Projects Manager Engr. Brando P. Valerio, PECE.

In attendance as well during IECEP’s event were Engr. Elmer O. Casao (Bayanihan Council Chairman), Engr. Bernie Favorito (PPO UAE Chairman), Engr. Ronald Precilla (Bayanihan Vice President) and Arch. Rodel Ayala (UAP President).

A recognition was given to the founding president, Engr. Jethroefel E. Ramboyong, PECE, ASEAN, ACPE for bringing home the 2018 Bagong Bayani Award (POEA and Bagong Bayani Foundation) and was chosen by PRC as the 2018 Outstanding Professional of the Year in the field of Electronics Engineering.

Another recognition was given to the IECEP UAE candidate, Engr. Alyssa Jane M. Isana, ECE, for winning the 2nd Runner Up of the 2018 Mutya ng Kasarinlan pageant.

IECEP President Louie Maliksi expressed his gratitude to all the members, officers and volunteers who continue to support the organizations activities, share their knowledge, skills and resources to their Kabayans for the betterment of the Filipino Electronics Engineers in the UAE.
