IECEP-UAE 2nd Quarter Technical Seminar

Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) UAE Chapter under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in United Arab Emirates, had successfully hosted its 2nd Quarter Technical Seminar last May 5, 2017 at ADVETI, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The said event once again ascertained the untiring support of its general membership with its 107 participants, composed of PECE, ECE, ECT, Associates members and non-members across the Emirates.

 

As IECEP UAE endeavor to achieve the organization’s mission and vision that is “To be a world-class organization of humane, competent, virtuous and globally-competitive electronics professionals” and  “To be the showcase of professional and technical development and the paradigm of excellence in applying the principles of electronics technology to the advancement of humanity”, two technical seminars were organized to provide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programs for all its registered and licensed members. The first topic entitled “An Introduction to Air Traffic Control System” was tackled by technical resource speaker, Engr. Jason Quizon, ECE who has more than 10 years of solid experience in the Quality Management and Air Traffic Control Systems field with Abu Dhabi Airports as their primary clientele.  The second topic entitled “Data Center – Business Continuity” was presented by technical resource speaker, Engr. Jan Michael De Villeres, ECE, current Vice-President for Education, who is currently working as the Principal Systems Officer of Dubai Courts, U.A.E. and is in charge of ICT Infrastructure Operations and Security Systems. These seminars broaden and advance the technical knowledge of all the participants to the latest trends in air traffic control technologies and furnished them an overview to the common terminologies and systems used in data center continuity and recovery technologies, respectively.
