April 16, 30, May 7, 2021: VMware Workshop Day 3, 4 & 5. VMware Fundamentals Day 3, 4, and 5 were completed. The students were tasked to complete labs from building their own VMs up to creating their own virtual datacenters. Hands-on knowledge of using VMware Workstation Pro, ESXI, vCenter vSphere, vMotion, and others were discussed. Here is the summary, VMware vCenter tasks and systems administration tools for Day 3, VMware network and storage tasks for Day 4, and clustering and protection tasks and experience for Day 5. It was an exciting and helpful series of technical sessions that covered key aspects of virtualization and system administration.

The highlight of the classes is the troubleshooting and hands-on session where each one was able to experience the first BYO (build-your-own) lab problems such as storage, and network configuration. An option of using pre-existing remote labs and VMware hands-on lab also provided to those who want to jump in right into the action!

Remaining Day 6 (May 14) will be focused on the wrap-up and review of the labs, as well as to entertain more student’s questions. IECEP UAE encourages VMware students to take any of the VMware foundation exams to further their careers.
