Dr. Ira’s expertise in electronics engineering and artificial intelligence is reflected in her track record of relevant seminars and training programs both conducted and attended in the last five years. Dr. Ira holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering Technology and a Master’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, both from the Technological University of the Philippines. She also holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from De La Salle University.
Currently, Dr. Ira serves as an Associate Professor and Vice Chair at De La Salle University. Prior to this, she worked as a Research Director at Technological University of the Philippines and a Faculty Member at the same institution for almost a decade. She has also held positions as a Professorial Lecturer at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
She is a member of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) and currently holds the position of National VP Internal. She is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Philippine Section and serves as its Treasurer. Valenzuela is also a National Regular Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP).
