It was an unforgettable event! The recently concluded IECEP UAE First Technical Seminar and Induction of Officers was not just a knowledge-sharing experience but also a celebration of camaraderie and professional growth.
The seminar, “Protecting Your Digital Life: Think Before You Click,” delivered by Engr. Vince Jilmer Nambio, was both eye-opening and thought-provoking. His engaging talk sparked laughter and lively discussions, filling the Royal Rose Hotel event hall with energy and enthusiasm.
One of the event’s highlights was the GAP ANALYSIS activity—an unprecedented initiative that united members in deep discussions about bridging the gap between IECEP UAE’s past and its envisioned future. As teams presented their insights with confidence and technical expertise, new leaders naturally emerged, showcasing their potential to shape the organization’s direction.
Adding to the event’s significance, IECEP National President, Dr. Lory Liza Bulay-og, delivered an inspiring speech, reminding members of the immense value of their membership and their identity as Electronics Engineers. She emphasized the importance of actively exercising their rights and responsibilities, especially as Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the field of ECE. She also led the oath-taking ceremony for the Board of Trustees, who are dedicated to serving the organization throughout the year.
Before the event concluded, Hon. Gerhard Tan from the Board of Electronics Engineering delivered an invaluable message, urging Electronics Engineers to dream big and aim higher in their careers. He highlighted prestigious professional advancements such as the Professional Electronics Engineer (PECE) certification, the ASEAN Engineer Registry (AER), and the ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE), encouraging members to pursue continuous growth and excellence.
Throughout the event, the dynamic hosting duo, Engr. Arsenio Donato, Jr. and Engr. Racquel Marasigan, kept the atmosphere vibrant with their lively banter, fostering a sense of family among both new and longtime members. As the seminar concluded, the room echoed with laughter, applause, and a renewed sense of belonging within the IECEP UAE community.
